SVO 9356 Pot. Free Spirit
- Description
3" pot, Blooming Size.
Notes from the breeder:
The pure-yellow flowers of Twenty-four Carat (Pot. Lemon Tree x Blc. Yellow Imp) are just as impressive today as they were when this grex was introduced in the 1990’s. Beaufort (Soph. coccinea x C. luteola) has been a highly successful parent for breeding mini- and compact-sized cattleyas. In this cross, its influence on the offspring will reduce plant size, reinforce yellow flower color, and assure well-rounded flower shape. I first saw Free Spirit booming in Hawaii at the Orchid Center, and there were 100’s of plants in flower. It was a sea of bright yellow - I was impressed! What I remember most was the consistency of flower quality from plant to plant; it was hard to pick out the best one. I expect the same high-quality results with this remake.
