Notes from the breeder:

Novelty hybrids are always fun, and this might be the ‘funnest’, if that’s a word.  C. schofieldiana is a tall slender plant producing 6-7 spotted flowers with red lips.  C. velutina has very slender bulbs and the cultivar ‘SVO 24’ blooms with 24 flowers! We expect these will bloom with 12-14 flowers, thanks to the influence of velutina. Flowers will be spotted and approach 3” across.  These protocorms were treated (t) with oryzalin to help induce higher ploidy, and the plants that convert will be highly desirable.  You should grow this just for kicks!
