I love Catasetums with dark sepals and yellow lips, a truly eye-catching color combination. The species Ctsm. kleberianum is in the ancestry of both Ctsm. Isobel's Sunshine (Ctsm. Portagee Star x Ctsm. kleberianum) and Ctsm. Double Down (Ctsm. Chuck Taylor x Ctsm. kleberianum), imparting its bright yellow lip to both grexes.  This new hybrid will produce offspring with darkly spotted or solid deep burgundy sepals and petals, all with flat yellow lips. This is the first of the next generation crosses in this novel flower color breeding line.
