The full-shaped orange flowers of Carolina Orange D’or (Blc. Carolina Golden D'Or x Blc. Malworth D'Or) are magnificent, and the 6-8 blooms per stem make this a spectacular show plant. I have admired this cross for years, and we have used it as a parent in many fine orange and yellow hybrids. Tokyo Magic (Lc. Irene Finney x L. briegeri) is a proven breeder that has given rise to many exceptional hybrids. It imparts good flower shape, red lip color, sturdy stems, and a compact upright plant habit. With this cross, I'm looking forward to seeing 5-7 full-shaped flowers held high on strong stems by robust plants. Flower color is anticipated to be a golden yellow with a red lip.
