Notes from the breeder:
This Elegans (C. tigrina x L. purpurata) has impressively large flowers over 6” across, and there are seven on a stem. Although only a few small spots are visible, you know there are recessive spotted flower genes from tigrina (leopoldii) in its genetic makeup. By crossing back to tigrina f. coerulea, the result will be the reappearance of spotting, large flower size in coerulea colors, and 10-15 flowers on a stem. Simply awesome!
