Notes from the breeder:

Bifoliate cattleyas are some of my favorite orchids. The color, spots, fragrance, and summer-blooming habit are all good reasons to grow them. C. Comets Tail (C. Landate x C. aclandiae) has a large flower with heavy substance and looks like a super improved C. aclandiae with 3-4 flowers on a stem. C. schilleriana ‘Afri’ has a huge flower – really remarkable! To envision the outcome, think of 3-4 large flowers, boldly spotted in burgundy, with huge lips in deep magenta, and fragrant, too! Like a huge schilleriana but much easier to grow!
