Notes from the breeder:

I am just noticing while writing the descriptions that we have a few more pink flowered hybrids in this year’s offerings. Loddiglossa (C. amethystoglossa x C. loddigesii) has waxy pink flowers presented in a huge cluster of 25 well above the foliage.  Little Mermaid (C. walkeriana x Bc. Maikai) is a simple hybrid with lots of character from its ancestors. Flower shape is influenced by B. nodosa, flower count by C. bowringiana, and color by C. walkeriana. What is the objective of this cross?  We are envisioning heads of 10-12 pink flowers with spotted pink lips on a plant about 10” tall. Some really nice hybrids have arisen from breeding with Little Mermaid, and we believe this will be one of the good ones.
