Kyoguchi hybrids are excellent growers, quick to bloom, produce lots of flowers, and are most often fragrant, all noteworthy features in a good orchid. Kyoguchi (C. aurantiaca x E. incumbens [=aromatica]) blooms with 50-60 yellow, fragrant flowers on branched stems – very impressive. This tetraploid Gold Star (L. crispata [flava] x L. harpophylla) has flowers with heavy substance presented well on upright stems. This cross will produce lots of yellow flowers with a fragrance reminiscent of the incumbens grandparent on strong stems from a compact plant.
