Notes from the breeder:

Here we are breeding for coerulea flowers with dark blue lips and bright yellow throats.  C. loddigesii will add its coerulea color and, importantly, add the bright yellow throat so desirable in blue breeding. It makes the blue look bluer! Canhamiana (C. mossiae x L. purpurata) has large flowers up to 7” across with beautiful full, dark blue lips and some yellow in the throat.  We are expecting the offspring to be in the desired color palette with bright yellow throats and 5-7 large blooms held on strong stems.
