Candy Sparks (Slc. Mem. Trudi Marsh x Slc. Angel's Fantasy) is a true mini-Catt with plants just 6” tall. The flower petals are very wide and bright red with a bit of yellow flaring. Kyoguchi (Enc. aromatica x Gur. aurantiaca) ‘Diamond Orchids’ is a tetraploid and blooms with branched inflorescences holding 50-60 bright-yellow fragrant flowers with yellow lips striped in red. Ok, this is a bit crazy, but what if the flaring from Candy Sparks and the high flower count of Kyoguchi came together? Would we get shapely flared flowers with 10 to a stem and possibly fragrant? As they say, "nothing ventured, nothing gained."
