SVO 10627 (Morm. badia 'Yellow' x Morm. andreettae 'SVO' AM/AOS)
- Description
2.5" pot, Blooming Size
Notes from the breeder:
Morm. badia is the easiest Mormodes species to grow and comes in several color forms ranging from yellow to orange to red. In this cross, we used a bright yellow color form with upright inflorescences carrying more than 30 well-arranged flowers. Morm. andreettae has large, eye-catching coral-peach-colored flowers with strong upright inflorescences displaying 12 nicely arranged flowers well above the foliage. This is an impressive species with a unique flower color. Here we are aiming for a hybrid with solid orange/yellow flowers, a new combination for this genus. These will have 24” long, straight upright inflorescences carrying 20 or more flowers, with 2-3 inflorescences per mature bulb. The reciprocal cross is offered as SVO 10566.
