Indigo Valentine (Lc. Indigo Love x C. Valentine) has large 5” flowers with superb, large, dark-blue lips. Plants stand just over 8” tall. Lc. Indigo Love (Indigo Dawn x Love Knot) is a mini-Catt cross that benefits from the influence of C. walkeriana and L. pumila. It also capitalizes on the large flower size of the standard grandparent Cattleya species, C. warneri and C. warscewiczii. This grex will have good coerulea color, with the 3-4 flowers being flat (from the Love Knot), well-shaped and presented nicely on good stems. Flowers will be large in relation to the plant size, and I expect twice-a-year blooming.
