Breeding with Richard Mueller (B. nodosa x L. milleri) is well understood. This parent strongly influences flower shape and transmits spotted lips. This is a tetraploid Jalapa (C. leopoldii x L. milleri), and the quality of the red flowers with dark burgundy spots and red lips produced on strong upright stems is amazing. This is a complex Brassavola hybrid, and you can still see some of its influence in the plant habit. These will have well-presented flowers in a range of burnt orange colors, all densely spotted in dark maroon with broad, randomly spotted maroon lips. These should be outstanding!
