2.5" pot, Blooming Size
Notes from the breeder:
Cl. thylaciochila (thigh-lass-see-OH-kye-lah) produces flowers in late June with the developing new growths, making them the first Clowesia species of the year to bloom. Flower production is incredible: hundreds of light green flowers with darker green stripes cascade over and cover all sides of a hanging basket. Ctsm. tigrinum is a very special species: it is small-growing and flowers several times each season with cascading inflorescences that each hold 20-30 white-cream blooms spotted lightly in red on the petals and sepals. Equally important are the shape and placement of its wide petals, which fill the space between the dorsal and lateral sepals, creating a full-shaped flower. This is a great characteristic, which is transmitted to its offspring. This mini-Clowesetum will flower at 4-6” tall and bear cascading inflorescences of 30 or more nicely-shaped white flowers with light pink spotting. The long-lived flowers will be some of the first Catasetinae to bloom each season. This promises to be a very charming hybrid!
